Lindsey Graham hates Ted Cruz, nearly as much as Donald Trump. But Flaming Lindsey is so scared of Trump becoming the nominee that he’s actually going to hold a fundraiser for Cruz.

In a sign of just how much the Republican presidential primary has turned the party on its head, Sen. Lindsey Graham will headline a fundraiser on Monday in support of Ted Cruz.
Graham told CNN that while the Texas senator is not his preferred candidate, he’s “the best alternative to Donald Trump,” and he said he will “help Ted in every way I can.”
A draft of the invitation, obtained first by CNN, invites guests to “honor and support a great friend of Israel and the Jewish people,” at a meet-and-greet event that will take place during the AIPAC policy conference in Washington next week.
“I think he’s the best alternative to beat Donald Trump,” Graham said about Cruz. “I’m going to help Ted in any way I can.”
Graham, who ended his bid for the Republican nomination last December, originally threw his support behind former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and campaign for him in South Carolina.
All we need now is the old hobbit John McCain to start fundraising for Cruz, then he’ll have the progressive Republican vote locked up.
