The final Des Moines Register poll has been released before the Iowa caucuses on Monday. All week we’ve heard about how this poll is historically the most accurate of the polls for the Iowa caucus. If this poll is the most accurate then Donald Trump will beat Ted Cruz in the caucuses and Marco Rubio will come in a distant third.

The final Des Moines Register poll in 2012 predicted Romney would be Ron Paul narrowly with Rick Santorum a distant third. Rick Santorum ended up winning that caucus followed by Romney and Ron Paul. So lots can change. Polling over the last few years has not been accurate in either direction.
On the socialist Democrat side, Hillary Clinton barely beats Bernie Sanders in the Des Moines Register final poll.
