A new Des Moines Register poll shows Ben Carson with a nine point lead over Donald Trump in Iowa. This is now the second poll to show Ben Carson leading in Iowa. The other was a Quinnipiac poll showing Carson leading Trump by eight points in Iowa. I figured it might be an outlier poll since no other polls have shown Carson leading Trump, until today.

This of course has the GOP-e hacks tickled pink. No other state polls show Donald Trump trailing. But with the Iowa Caucus just 100 days away, Ben Carson leading significantly in Iowa is a big surprise. At least to me.
