Kevin MCCarthy aka Kevin McBoehner is toast! What great news! Kevin McCarthy who is basically a carbon copy of Boehner minus to tan, drinking and crying has dropped out of running for Speaker of the House. This means Jason Chaffetz and Dan Webster actually might have a shot now at replacing Boehner. There is also the outside change the someone who isn’t an elected member of Congress becomes the next speaker. How does Allen West, Speaker of the House sound to you?

I know, that would be a pipe dream. But at least it clears out the younger version of Boehner. McCarthy basically killed any chances he had of becoming the next Speaker of the House when he went on Hannity and claimed the Benghazi Committee was just used to bring down Hillary Clinton’s poll numbers. McCarthy was obviously not ready for prime time. Personally, if they do go for a current elected House Republican, I’d like to see Dave Brat of Virginia become the next Speaker (the man who replaced Eric Cantor).
Will McBoehner stay on as Republican Majority Leader? I hope not.
