28 years ago on KNBC in Los Angeles, a live newscast with David Horowitz was taken over by a man with a gun. Unlike today’s racist murder of two white reporters, the gunman in the 1987 KNBC live broadcast ended peacefully. Below is a video of what happened August 20, 1987. Strange how both this and today happen at almost the same time of year.

I can actually remember watching this news cast and was stunned, as you probably would have been too. Back in 1987 KNBC was actually a decent channel and their newscasts were #1 in Los Angeles. David Horowitz was a consumer reporter and also for a time had a show called ‘Fight Back.’
