CNN tried their best to do damage control for Hillary Clinton. The pathetic softball interview that featured questions like who is the best Hillary Clinton impersonator on Saturday Night Live, or what woman should be on the ten dollar bill was supposed to be a big ratings helper for CNN. Too bad for them, it was an epic ratings bust. Back in 2008 when Obama was doing his run around with the media, running for president the first time, he would draw massive audiences. Like Obama or not, he would get ratings on TV no matter how pathetic the channel pandered to him. With Hillary Clinton, it’s the exact opposite. The CNN softball ‘interview’ with CNN aired at 5pm and 8pm EDT on CNN. Neither time slot could crack or even come close to 600,000 viewers. As far as that ‘important’ 25-54 demographic, the Hillary Clinton interview on CNN, the Hillary Clinton could muster was 167,000 at 8pm EDT. Pretty pathetic.
In 2008. if Obama was interviewed on CNN, he would easily crack 1 million, if not two million viewers. The 25-54 demographic would likely be at least 500,000 and CNN would be bragging about how great their ratings were for the interview. Instead, the scripted Hillary Clinton interview basically got what CNN gets in that particular hour. No bump in the ratings for Hillary Clinton.

Compare the Hillary Clinton CNN numbers with Fox News. at 5pm EDT, The Five got almost 2 million viewers. Old and tired O’Reilly got about 2.7 million viewers to Hillary/CNN’s paltry 566,000.
