Even after trying to rally Democrats to vote for ObamaTrade TAA, lame duck Obama still couldn’t influence Democrats to vote for it. Obama, Weeper Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan and the rest of the so called GOP ‘leadership’ were slaughtered 302-126 on TAA, a major part needed in order to pass ObamaTRADE in full. Nearly 3 out of every four Democrat voting in House voted against ObamaTrade TAA, even botox Nancy Pelosi.
The child like House then passed a symbolic version of the TPA bill which barely cleared the House with a 219-211 vote. This vote means nothing, as it was purely symbolic. But it gave House Republicans like Ryan, Boehner and McCarthy a chance to pat each other on the back. The house floor erupted in cheers when this vote passed, kind of like how Democrats did after ObamaCARE was passed. Thankfully, this symbolic vote on TPA means absolutely nothing.
The TAA and TPA bills are still not out there for the public to read them. According to Paul Ryan, they will only be made public after the House passes them. For now anyway, ObamaTrade is dead. When the Senate comes back from recess next week, they will try again by tweaking ObamaTrade in private.
