Why did Walter Scott (the unarmed black man shot dead in North Charleston) run from officer Michael Slager because he feared arrest from back child support? The main question is, why did Walter Scott from from Officer Slager? The dash cam video shows Scott in his car (pulled over for a busted tail light) suddenly get out and run before Slagger shot him to death eight times. Walter Scott apparently had a warrant for his arrest and owed $18,000 in back child support.

And no, I’m not excusing the cop for shooting Scott eight times then what looked like attempting to plant evidence. I’m just wondering why would Walter Scott run in the first place?

Even if this is the reason why Walter Scott ran from Slager, it does not excuse Slager for the cold blooded murder. So far there has been nothing presented that justifies Slager firing onne shot, let alone eight at Scott. The question is asked because if Walter Scott wouldn’t have ran, he might still be alive today.
