50 years ago today in Selma was ‘Bloody Sunday.’ Democrats who controlled the state of Alabama used billy clubs and tear gas to injure as many as 600 marchers on the Edmund Pettus Bridge. Lets take a look back to just who was in charge in Alabama back in 1965.
Alabama Governor in 1965 was George Wallace. He was a Democrat. During the 88th Congress in 1965, every representative from Alabama was a Democrat. The included: George Huddleston, Jr. George M. Grant, George W. Andrews, Kenneth A. Roberts, Armistead I. Selden, Albert Rains, Carl Elliott and Robert E. Jones, Jr.
Alabama’s two Senators were both Democrat: John J. Sparkman and J. Lister Hill. Alabama voted for a Democrat for president every year in the 1960’s. Notice a pattern here? Today, Democrats try and pretend that they are looking out for black people. The fact of the matter is Democrats are keeping blacks on the plantation today, just like in 1965. Instead of outright segregation, Democrats use the government to keep blacks on the plantation.

The more things change, the more things stay the same. Over the last 50 years Democrats have only changed their messaging to fool the low information voter to make it look like they are looking out for them. Democrats haven’t changed a bit. In fact, Woodrow Wilson, Lyndon Johnson an George Wallace would be very proud of his Democrat party today for the way they mask their discrimination.
