You wouldn’t hear much about the Ammanuel Menghesha alleged killing of officer Terence Green. Officer Green was black, so the media can’t play the race card angle. Ammanuel Menghesha sounds like a Muslim name, so the media wouldn’t dare touch that either.
The shooting happened just after 1:30 a.m. in a subdivision northwest of the city of Fairburn, Georgia. The suspected shooter, Ammanuel Menghesha, allegedly shot and killed Officer Terence Green, a more than 20-year veteran of the police force, according to the station.
Officials say officers arrived after a 911 call about a man who had fired shots inside a home. Police learned that the man — identified as Menghesha — had left the home and that he may have been intoxicated, reported WCGL-TV.Officers began to search for the shooter and nearly 45 minutes later, more 911 calls came from another part of the neighborhood. Rushing to investigate, the officers came under fire without warning, according to Fulton County Assistant Police Chief Gary Stiles.
