Michael Grimm resigns from Congress

Michael Grimm a RINO Republican from New York has resigned from Congress. Michael Grimm, who pleaded guilty to tax invasion originally planned to stay on in Congress. Then, late tonight Grimm decided to resign (unlike Democrat tax cheats such as Charlie Rangel):

“After much thought and prayer, I have made the very difficult decision to step down from Congress effective January 5th, 2015,” Grimm said in a statement. “This decision is made with a heavy heart, as I have enjoyed a very special relationship and closeness with my constituents, whom I care about deeply.

“The events which led to this day did not break my spirit, nor the will of the voters. However, I do not believe that I can continue to be 100% effective in the next Congress, and therefore, out of respect for the Office and the people I so proudly represent, it is time for me to start the next chapter of my life.”

Michael Grimm resigns from Congress

Michael Grimm’s resignation will be effective next Friday, January 5th, 2015 when the 114 Congress begins. Grimm is/was a flaming RINO, so his resigning is no major loss for conservatives. For now, Republicans will go back to 246 seats in the 114th Congress until a special election for Grimm’s seat happens.

While Michael Grimm is a flaming RINO, he at least had the intergrity to resign his seat in Congress. Democrat tax cheats like Michael Grimm such as race hustler Charlie Rangel could leaarn something.
