CNN has no problem offending it’s few viewers when hacks like Carol Costello brags about a tape of Sarah Palin or Anderson Cooper calling conservatives teabaggers. Yet, they are worried that some might be offended by the American national anthem. So much so they aired a disclaimer “Please be advised you are about to hear an excerpt of the national anthem” before a show called “Sailor mom surprises daughter at school.”

This is CNN, under Jeff Zucker. Worrying that someone might get offended by or national anthem on American air waves? Hey guess what CNN, if someone gets offended by the national anthem then that’s their problem. Let them move to Cuba or something if they don’t like it.
CNN, which bills itself as “The Most Trusted Name in News,” sure knows how to put a weird damper on a perfectly heartwarming, patriotic and downright tearjerker story during the week of Veterans Day.
The video story is entitled “Sailor mom surprises daughter at school.” It first appeared on CNN on Thursday — on loan from an Indianapolis Fox affiliate.
Prior to CNN’s presentation of the video (just after the mandatory commercial), a warning message appeared for several seconds in bold font atop a two-tone black background.
“Please be advised you are about to hear an excerpt of the national anthem,” the warning declared.
