I was really hoping that Republicans would finally get some new blood into leadership positions, and maybe choose someone else other than Mitch McConnell to be the Senate majority leader when the 114th Congress begins in January. Of course, that was a pipe dream and establishment RINOs still control things. Mitch McConnell was voted on, and will become Senate majority leader starting in January. I know it would be a pipe dream to have someone other than McConnell in that position.
I’ll give McConnell a chance to prove me wrong, and that he was the right pick to be majority leader. We’ll watch him like a hawk for the next two years.
As expected, McConnell will become Senate majority leader |

McConnell wasn’t majority leader when the Republicans lost the Senate in 2006, so I suppose he deserves at least one chance. Screw it up, act like Democrats, and things will need to change in 2016.
