Dr. Douglas Butzier who was running as a Libertarian in Iowa for Senate has been killed in plane crash. I admit, I don’t know much about Dr. Douglas Butzier aside from his running for Senate and working as an emergency room physician at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque. He was also the pilot of the plane that crashed near Dubuque Regional Airport. He was 59 years old. RIP Dr. Douglas Butzier.
