Obama won the Washington Post’s ‘Lie of the Year’ in 2013 with his BS about ‘If you like your health care plan, you can keep your plan, period’ schtick. Aside from that, the Washington Post tries to kiss Obama’s ass any chance they get. But they veered off course again today, and gave Obama three Pinocchios for the Obama lie about how that rascally GOP has blocked every serious idea he’s had.
3 Pinocchios for Obama lie GOP blocked every serious idea |

Glenn Kessler who wrote this article at WaPo should expect an audit next year. Valerie Jarrett isn’t going to be pleased with this.
“So far this year, Republicans in Congress have blocked every serious idea to strengthen the middle class.”
This has become a standard line in the president’s oratory, as part of making his case that he’s “acted this year to help working Americans on my own– when Congress won’t act.”The president started on this path on June 27, during a speech in Minnesota: “You know, sometimes I’m forcibly, you know, politic about how I say things, but I’m finding lately that I just want to say what’s on my mind. So, let me just be clear I want you to think about this, so far this year the Republicans in Congress have blocked or voted down every single serious idea to strengthen the middle class.”
But to claim that “every serious idea” has been blocked is going too far–given that the president lauded at least three bills as aiding the middle class.
