As bad as Congress already is, and as lousy as they’ve been for decades, today might be the most embarrassing day in that branch’s history. During a Congressional Gold Medal ceremony, members f Congress, both Democrat and Republican held hands, swayed back and forth and sang ‘we shall overcome.’ Thanks again Republicans and Democrats for embarassing the American people yet again. The video is truly pitiful, but if you want to watch, go ahead.

I guess the point of this charade was to honor the 50th anniversary of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Martin Luther King must be rolling in his grave after this downright pitiful exhibition.
