No matter how much the media tries to sugar coat the trade of five Taliban terrorists for one American deserter, they still aren’t fooling anyone. Even a left wing bias Reuters poll is showing that a wide margin of Americans are opposed to the deal of five terrorists for Bergdahl. 44% of those polled are against the deal while only 29% support it. Not surprisingly, Reuters’ title for this poll claims Americans are ‘split’ on the Bergdahl-Taliban deal. A 15 point spread doesn’t sound ‘split’ to me.
Reuters poll: Public opposes Bergdahl deal 44-29% |
---|
The Reuters/Ipsos poll of 958 Americans interviewed online found that 44 percent disagreed with the statement that trading Taliban prisoners for Bergdahl was “the right thing to do,” with 26 percent of them strongly disagreeing.
There’s even a 9 point spread on if people think Bergdahl is a patriot or a traitor.
Only 13 percent said they viewed Bergdahl as a patriot and 22 percent saw him as a traitor/deserter.
