Bruce Rauner sweated out a win for the GOP nomination for governor in the Illinois primary tonight. Bruce Rauner, a venture capitalist will face corrupt Marxist Democrat Pat Quinn for Governor of Illinois this coming November. Quinn who won in 2010 is so corrupt and inept that Rauner actually has a chance to beat him and become governor.
Jim Oberweis won the GOP primary for Senate, and will face turban Dick Durbin in November. The so called ‘moderate’ Oberweise has about as much of beating Durbin in a corrupt state like Illinois as I would of becoming a Senator in California.
There was one interesting developments in this primary though. Far more Republicans turned out to vote than Democrats did in this far left state. In 2010 during the GOP ‘wave’ election, there were 915,726 votes for Democrat candidates for governor and only 767,485 for Republican candidates. Tonight, with 97% of the vote counted in the Illinois primary, there are only 420,560 votes for Democrat candidates. Republican candidates for governor have a total of 784,597 votes, beating their 2010 primary totals. That’s almost 2:1 Republican votes to Democrats. This bodes well for Republicans in November, though i’d be shocked as I stated above if any Republican could beat Durbin.
I guess Democrats in Illinois were too busy digging up to dead bodies to get them ready to vote in November.
