Larry Sabato is a Professor of Politics at the University of Virginia, and director of its Center for Politics. Sabato also frequently appears on cable news political shows, including Fox News. Sabato tried to portray himself as a down the middle moderate with no political ideology. Tonight, however the mask slipped off. On Twitter, Larry Larry Sabato compared supporters of traditional marriage to segregationists and racists:
Opposition to interracial marriage in '60s was as intense as hostility to same-sex marriage today. And just as misguided.

Uh, no Larry. People who support traditional marriage are not comparable to segregationists and racists. They are not misguided either. A lot of people are against same-sex marriage for religious reasons. There was no religious reason interracial couples couldn’t get married in some parts of the country decades ago.

People who were against interracial marriage were mostly southern Democrats (like Larry Sabato) who opposed it for no other reason than racism.
So the next time you see Sabato put on his ‘moderate’ act when he’s on TV, you will know he’s nothing more than a progressive liberal Democrat who compares those who disagree with him as segregationists and racists. Oh, and misguided too.
It’s really a shame that Sabato has finally taken off his mask of moderation. I did enjoy reading his crystal ball page for election predictions.
