Obama and the Democrats are scared sh*tless of the 2014 midterms. So yet again, Obama has illegally changed the ObamaCARE employer mandate. Companies with 50-99 employees will be given yet another year before they are affected by the ObamaCARE penalty ‘or tax.’ Originally the employer mandate was set to kick in this year. Then Obama illegally changed it to 2015 without approval of Congress. Now, it’s 2016 right before the presidential election. And what do Republicans do> Sit there and twiddle their thumbs.
There are other changes to the ObamaCARE employer mandate as well:
Employers with over 100 workers were required to provide at least 95% of the their workers with health insurance by 2015. That has now change. Employers are now only required to provide 70% of their workers with health care coverage, until 2016 when it goes up to 95%.
Also, volunteers won’t be counted as full-time employees. This covers people like fire fighters.
The Treasury Department rolled out Monday afternoon more tweaks to the health care law’s requirement that all large employers–those with 50 or more workers–provide insurance coverage to their workers. This is the part of Obamacare was supposed to take effect at the start of 2014, but was delayed by the White House this past summer as the White House was facing significant push back from employers.
In today’s final rule, the Obama administration is essentially relaxing the employer mandate for 2015–in a big way for medium-sized businesses, and a smaller way for the largest employers. Here’s a rundown of the key changes.
