Obama has set yet another record! Obama’s 2014 State of the Union address got the lowest ratings in Nielsen’s tracking history. You would think that Nielson would have been tracking State of the Union addresses for a long time, but they only began in 1993. Obama’s smashed his record for lowest Nielsen rated State of the Union address from last year, dropping 1.1% in ratings. As far as total viewers, only BJ Bill Clinton had less watching his State of the Union in 2000 than Barry Obama did last night.

The address was carried live from 9:00 p.m. to 10:15 p.m. on 13 networks and tape-delayed on Univision. The sum of the average audience for those networks was 33,299,172 viewers with a combined household rating of 20.7. The networks carrying the address live were CBS, ABC, NBC, FOX, Azteca, Fox Business, Fox News Channel, CNN, MSNBC, CNBC, Al Jazeera America, Galavision and Mun2.
