Former Republican Virginia governor Bob McDonnell and his wife have been indicted on federal corruption charges. McDonnell is the sole reason why a sleaze Democrat like Terry McAuliffe was able to win the VA Gov election last year. Since McDonnell is a Republican, the AP report on the story had no problem mentioning his party affiliation. Had he been a Democrat, that would have been left out of the report. They also claim MCDonnell was a ‘rising star’ in the Republican party. He was anything but that. He was hardly any better than Chris Christie.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for the U.S. Justice Department, says McDonnell and his wife, Maureen, were indicted Tuesday. The 14-count indictment includes conspiracy, wire fraud and other charges.
McDonnell left office earlier this month after four years in the governor’s office. Virginia law limits governors to a single term.
