Just 26,794 actually completed the process to actually enroll in ObamaCARE in it’s first month. The law needs seven million by March, and the Democrats were expecting 500,000. The number of 106,185 included people who never actually signed up on the federal exchanges and paid for a new plan. Instead, it included this 26,794 and all of the abandoned shopping carts of people who were just ‘window shopping’ and checking prices. Others signed up via the state exchanges. There were far more abandoned shopping carts than actual sign ups. Well done Democrats. You own this.
Fewer than 27,000 Americans selected an insurance plan through the federal healthcare.gov site, which is handling enrollment for 36 states, according to figures released Wednesday by the Obama administration. The site is still far from fully operational, leaving tech experts racing to get it working by month’s end, as the administration promised.
These figures reflect people who have selected insurance plans through the exchanges, but not necessarily paid for them. Americans have until Dec. 15 to pay if they want coverage to begin on Jan. 1. Open enrollment lasts through March 31.Separately, another 396,261 Americans have been determined eligible for Medicaid or Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).
