It’s August 1st, so you know what that means? As of today, you get to pay for someone else’s birth control thanks to ObamaCARE. Birth control can be bought at Target for $9 per month, regardless of usage. But instead, the government will now provide free contraception to those who desire it, paid for with your tax dollars. Parasite progressive liberals of course are tickled pink about this. Those who have religious beliefs against this aren’t too happy. Those like me who figure that if someone needs birth control that badly, they can pay $9 at Target, and not have me pay for their contraception. But of course, we now live in a bizzaro world where taxing some else to pay for another person’s birth control is consider ‘progress.’
HHS contends that certain non-profit religious organizations such as churches and schools are not required to cover the services. Non-exempt employers that have religious objections, which do not comply will be penalized. According to the Congressional Research Service employers who do not comply could be hit with a federal tax of $100 per-day-per-employee.
Nebraska Republican Rep. Jeff Fortenberry, will join other freshmen GOP House members to mark the “The Day Religious Freedom Died” in the House Triangle Wednesday. In an interview with The Daily Caller on the eve of the mandate’s implementation, Fortenberry explained that although the day will come and pass, there will be long-term implications.
