In what is nothing more than a ratings ploy, Anderson Cooper has come out of the closet and admitted the obvious, he’s gay. Like no kidding? His show along with every other on CNN is in a dismal rating spiral. So Cooper and CNN needed to do something to try and spike the ratings for at least a day or two. Problem for Cooper is that everyone already knew he was gay. Now we just have to wait for Shep Smith of Fox News to come out of the closet like Cooper. CNN now has two admitted gay reporters. Cooper, and bitter fruit Don Lemon. Personally, I thought Cooper “officially” came out of the closet last August, when he went on his girly like giggle meltdown during one of his corny RidicuList segments.
“As long as a journalist shows fairness and honesty in his or her work, their private life shouldn’t matter,” Cooper writes. “I’ve stuck to those principles for my entire professional career, even when I’ve been directly asked ‘the gay question,’ which happens occasionally.”
Yea, too bad Andy that you don’t adhere to your own standards. You are anything but fair and honest. I agree with your second part though, his private life shouldn’t matter. But don’t try and pass yourself off as some kind of “fair and balanced” journalist either.
