Talk about a slaughter! With 87% of the Kansas precincts reporting, Rick Santorum has been declared the winner of the Kansas caucuses. Santorum has 53% of the vote. Second place (barely) is Mitt Romney at just 17%. Newt Gingrich is close behind Romney at 16% and Ron Paul is at 13%. Kansas has 40 binding delegates. 28 delegates are at large (proportional), and the rest are winner take all congressional districts. Santorum obviously looks like he is winning every district in Kansas. Mittens can claim victory from the earlier Guam non-binding causes that he won with nine whole delegates.
Other results today will be from Wyoming (which I thought already head caucuses), The U.S. Virgin Islands and the Northern Mariana Islands.
