Did you know that prior to working for propaganda media at ABC and CNN, Jake Tapper was spokesman for Handgun Control Inc? They are/were an Anti gun group that was formed in 1974 by Mark Borinsky as the National Council to Control Handguns. In 2001, Handgun Control Inc became known as Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. Tapper was spokesman of Handgun Control Inc in 1997, before it became the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence. Would have been nice if Fake Jake Tapper and/or CNN would have revealed this little tidbit prior to the pathetic town hall that Tapper lost complete control of. I guess it was all by design. Tapper himself is an anti-gun zealot who actually worked for an anti Second Amendment group in the 1990’s.
CNN’s Jake Tapper, host of the town hall held Wednesday night in Sunrise, Florida on the February 14 Parkland school massacre worked in 1997 as a spokesman for Handgun Control, Inc., the precursor to the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence. CNN and Tapper have failed to disclose Tapper’s anti-gun activism in advance of the town hall.
The Chicago Tribune has an article from 1997 quoting Jake Tapper bashing the NRA’s vice president at the time, Charlton Heston:
Jake Tapper worked for anti-gun group Handgun Control, Inc. (Never disclosed prior or during town hall) |

“His interpretation of the 2nd Amendment is unique to him and his organization and has never been upheld in court,” said Jake Tapper, a spokesman for Handgun Control Inc.
In his speech, Heston said: “I want to save the 2nd Amendment from all these nitpicking little wars of attrition–fights over alleged `Saturday night specials,’ plastic guns, cop-killer bullets and so many other made-for-prime-time non-issues invented by some press agent over at gun-control headquarters that (the media) buy time and again.”
Fakey Jake Tapper has come a long way from his days as spokesman for Handgun Control Inc. Now he’s raking in the millions of dollars by spewing his left wing, anti-Second Amendment views on a clown news network.
